Leading the way in the new world of energy rated windows, the Rehau eCare range was launched in May 2008. Offering a variety of products with Window Energy Ratings (WER) of A-C.

Window Energy Ratings (WER) have been introduced in order to provide consumers with a clear and simple measurement in order to make comparisons between the energy effeciency of various window products available.

In the past the only measurement of energy effeciency offered to consumers regarding their windows was the U-Value, which only considered the thermal transmitiancy at the centre of the glass pane. The new scale of measurement (WER A-G) outlines the energy effeciency of the entire window product, taking into consideration the U-Value and the additional factors of Solar Gain and air infiltration. 

Products which provide a WER of "A", "B" or "C" carry the "recommended" certification from the Energy Savings Trust in order to promote the purchase of higher performance windows, helping in their mission to reduce carbon emissions and promote energy effeciency within the home.
